Eyes are the first place on the face to show signs of premature aging skin.
No one wants their beautiful eyes to show signs of premature aging skin. In order to slow the signs of premature aging skin here's what you need to know.
1. Your delicate eye area needs moisture. Using a gentle dabbing motion with your ring finger, start to moisturize from the inner under eye towards the outside and follow up and around on your brow bone. Never put products on your eyelids, as the skin is very thin and it will irritate your eyes.
2. If you have fine lines and wrinkles that you would like to plump and firm, reach for an eye cream. Creams are heavier and when absorbed into the skin they hydrate, nourish and bring the skin back to its plump glory.
3. If you have puffiness under your eyes, reach for an eye gel. Gels are lighter and will not plump the skin like a cream. This allows you to hydrate and nourish this delicate area while reducing the puffiness. For quicker reduction in puffiness, store your eye gel in a cool place like the fridge. Gels are also recommended for those with oily skin, as it is a lighter than a cream.
While you can simply apply your face moisturizer around your eyes, eye care products are formulated a bit differently for this delicate area. But hydration is better than nothing, so as long as you're keeping your skin hydrated it'll be happy. When you're ready to kick it up a notch for better results, you'll know what to reach for.
